What’s happening in the October 2026 calendar
Game of Thrones Legends October 2026 has confirmed its full October 2026 event calendar, and House of the Dragon dominates it. The month opens with the Lord of the Hightower Summon, running October 7 through November 4, adding Legendary Champions Ormund Hightower, Ser Gwayne Hightower, Otto Hightower, Rhaenyra Targaryen, Aegon II Targaryen, and the dragon Sunfyre to the roster.

The House of the Dragon Quest Event, explained
The centerpiece is the House of the Dragon Quest Event, running Thursday, October 15, at 4 a.m. ET through Monday, October 19, at 2 a.m. ET. A companion House of the Dragon Summon overlaps the quest window, featuring Legendary Champions Rhaenyra Targaryen, Viserys I Targaryen, the dragon Caraxes, and, somewhat unexpectedly, Olenna Tyrell. Developer Zynga has continued supporting the title with regular content drops since its 2024 launch, and this marks one of its more concentrated pushes around a single corner of the franchise.
Why Olenna Tyrell is showing up in a Targaryen event
Game of Thrones: Legends pulls characters from across the entire franchise, including Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, rather than keeping each show’s roster separate. That’s how Olenna Tyrell, best remembered for orchestrating Joffrey Baratheon’s death during the original series, ends up alongside Rhaenyra and Viserys in a House of the Dragon-themed summon nearly two centuries removed from her own story. The game’s mix-and-match approach to characters has been part of its pitch since launch, letting players build teams that cross show and timeline entirely.

How this fits the game’s broader growth strategy
October’s calendar doesn’t stop at House of the Dragon. It also brings weekly Grand Melees featuring Nymeria Sand, Ormund Hightower, Mance Rayder, and Aerion Targaryen, along with returning quest events covering Robb’s War, the Battle of the Bastards, and the Battle of Blackwater Bay. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms content returns later in the month too, with new Iconic Items for Alliser Thorne and Catelyn Stark landing October 14 and October 28 respectively. With House of the Dragon not expected to resume filming until spring 2027, content pushes like this are likely to keep carrying the franchise’s mobile presence through the gap.
